Our Process
Creating a native landscape is both an ecological and creative process. Every property has its own character, conditions, and possibilities. Our role is to carefully observe the land, understand your goals, and design a landscape that feels both beautiful and deeply connected to place.
From our first conversation to the installation of your landscape, we guide you through each step with clarity.
STEP 1: Initial Conversation
We begin with a brief phone conversation to learn more about your property and what you hope to create. During the call, we’ll discuss your goals, expectations, and the overall scope of your project.
STEP 2: On-Site Consultation
Next we schedule a visit to your property. Walking the landscape together allows us to better understand the land itself–its sunlight, soil, drainage, existing vegetation, and overall character.
This visit is an opportunity to explore ideas, discuss possibilities, and begin envisioning how your landscape can become a thriving native ecosystem.
STEP 3: Design and Proposal
Following the consultation, we develop a design tailored specifically to your property. Our designs combine ecological principles with thoughtful composition, creating landscapes that support wildlife while offering beauty throughout the seasons.
You’ll have the opportunity to review the design, ask questions, and refine the vision before installation begins.
STEP 4: Installation
Our team carefully installs the landscape according to the design plan. Native plants are placed with intention, creating layered plant communities that will establish, mature, and evolve over time.
The result is a living landscape rooted in the natural character of Indiana.
STEP 5: Stewardship & Growth
Once installed, your landscape will continue to establish and thrive with thoughtful care. We provide guidance on how to maintain and support your native landscape so it remains healthy, beautiful, and ecologically vibrant for years to come.
